A fossil pinniped discovered in Mizunami City

This model is for the Mizunami Fossil Museum.

The supervisor is Naoki Khono, a paleontologist of National Museum of Nature and Science .

Almost complete skull was discovered from the lower Miocene Akeyo Formation of the Mizunami Group in Mizunami City, Gifu Prefecture on September, 2020.
