Megapterygius skeleton in Aridagawa

Megapterygius skeleton, made by Shinkai Ogino who a paleontologist belong to Aridagawa, Wakayama pref. Megapterygius was discovered in Aridagawa.
It was created using a 3D printer based on fossil data, and It is designed to be disassembled as much as possible to facilitate transportation and repair. It was completed just recently and is currently not on permanent display but is used for events and other exhibitions.

 





At Ogino's office in Aridagawa, People are able to see his working and ask him about paleontology easily.

I was looking forward to go to SVP in Toronto and see the skeleton, but I couldn't go to Tronto. I hope to have next opportunity to visit to Toronto.
